Our Team
Founder and Director of Contemporary Artists' Services, Sylvia White has been
advising artists on all matters related to business, marketing and
exhibitions since 1979. Considered a specialist in the field of professional
practices, White continues to lecture extensively and present workshops for
visual artists on career management skills. A graduate of the University of
California, Los Angeles, School of Fine Arts, her workshops and lectures have
been sponsored by, among others; California College of the Arts and Crafts,
Chicago Art Institute, Otis Art Institute, Claremont Graduate School,
Artists' Equity, San Francisco Art Institute, California Institute of Arts,
ProArts, University of Southern California, California Arts Council, the
National Endowment for the Arts, and the California College Arts Association,
National Conference.
Lisa Aguila comes to us
with a background in marketing, public relations, and editorial. She has
a bachelor's degree in Art History from UCLA, and a master's degree in
Communications from NYU.
We are fortunate to have as our WebMistress, Mandee Tatum.
With four years of web design and online technologies and the
development of web communities for education, she has spent thousands of
hours helping small businesses and non-profit organizations maintain
beautiful web sites of many themes and capacities. She also has a
master's degree in Social Psychology from the London School of
Economics, which has prepared her to handle our ever-changing moods and
demands.
Our gallery intern, Kim Richter, is a graduate student at UCLA
studying Art History, with a specialization in Pre-Columbian Art. She
comes to us from her native Germany, and is fluent in four languages!
She is interested in pursuing art research, curatorial studies, and
continuing her hobbies of photography, travelling, and playing with
dogs.
